Community

In addition to being Australia’s epicentre of live sports and entertainment, Melbourne Park is also a popular hub for community activity.

Our venues and open spaces are significant community assets, and we actively encourage members of the public to enjoy the open green space and make use of the public amenities at Gosch’s Paddock, Olympic Park Oval and Melbourne Park Oval.

Melbourne Park is committed to reflecting the values of the broader community in all aspects of its work and provides support to a range of charitable organisations. This includes access to venues and events, as well as in-kind support to Melbourne Park tenants and partners who run a range of community-focused events each year.

Social and Community Framework

As a statutory authority led by a government-appointed Trust, Melbourne Park strives to align its operations and activities to community values, Victorian Public Sector standards and Victorian Government principles.

Melbourne Park’s Social and Community Framework supports its contribution to global efforts to improve conditions for all people and commitment to delivering tangible social outcomes for Victorian communities. It outlines core principles to guide Melbourne Park’s approach to diversity and equality, access and inclusion, reconciliation, sustainability, and ongoing alignment to community values.

The Social and Community Framework is supported by four community action plans:

  • Disability Inclusion Action Plan
  • Gender Equality Action Plan
  • Reconciliation Action Plan
  • Sustainability Strategy
